Skin needling, explained
Skin needling also known as microneedling, is performed using a specialised device that creates tiny micro-punctures in the skin using ultra-fine needles. This controlled trauma activates your body’s natural healing response, stimulating collagen synthesis and elastin production to improve skin firmness, texture, and overall radiance.
The treatment involves minimal discomfort and downtime. During the recovery period, it’s important to keep your skin clean and free from heavy products or makeup to allow it to heal effectively and avoid clogged pores.

What to expect during & after the treatment
Your session will begin with one of our trained beauty therapists thoroughly cleansing the treatment area to ensure your skin is fresh, clean, and ready for needling. A topical numbing cream is then applied to minimise any discomfort during the procedure.
Once the skin is prepped, we’ll begin the treatment using the Exceed Skin Pen, which gently and precisely punctures the skin in small, controlled movements. This process typically takes around 30 to 45 minutes, with most clients experiencing only mild discomfort thanks to the numbing.
To finish, you’ll enjoy a calming 30-minute LED light therapy session to soothe the skin, reduce redness, and accelerate the natural healing process. Downtime is minimal, with redness generally subsiding within 24 to 48 hours.
It’s that simple. From there, we’ll schedule your next session and continue your journey to healthier, more radiant skin.

Incase you needed a reason to book in this winter,
let us give you 5…
reduced sun exposure: after micro needling, your skin is more sensitive to UV rays, which increases risk of hyperpigmentation and slow down healing.
easier recovery: cooler temperatures mean you're less likely to sweat, which irritates freshly treated skin or increase the risk of infection during the healing phase.
refresh dry skin: micro needling helps boost collagen production and improve skin hydration through increased absorption of serums and skincare products.
spring/summer skin prep: skin needling requires a few sessions for best results, spaced 4-6 weeks apart. starting your treatment journey in winter gives your skin enough time to heal and rejuvenate so you can enjoy smoother, brighter skin by spring or summer.
cooler temperatures: after your treatment, your skin may experience temporary redness, swelling and sensitivity. the cooler weather can help soothe your skin and minimise discomfort during the initial recovery period.
