Fake Tan & Your Brows
How can fake tan affect the results of your brow appointment? We’ve done the hard work and created a cheat sheet below so you can refer back to this anytime you’re wondering “should I get my tan or brows done first?"
Fake tan can react with the brow tint/dye, potentially causing a green or patchy colour. Your tint/dye can also fade much faster as it grabs to the tan rather than your skin or hair.
How to avoid this from happening?
Pre-appointment:
Avoid fake tanning products, including gradual tan for 5 days prior to your appointment / gently exfoliate the area 24 hours before to buff off any dry skin and ensure your tan is fully removed.
Post-appointment:
Avoid fake tanning the area for minimum 24 hours after your appointment to allow the tint to set properly and to prevent any fading. your skin and brow area may also be sensitive post-treatment, so best to avoid any product application 24 hours after to avoid skin irritation.
